Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking Food Production Operatives for a busy food manufacturing site near Takeley. You will work in an ambient-temperature production area performing packing, line work and general production duties on a regular daytime shift.

We are offering temporary to permanent opportunities with weekly pay, a supportive team and training provided. Own transport is advantageous due to rural location and nearby areas include Hatfield Broad Oak, Great Dunmow and Bishop's Stortford.

About the Role

We're looking for reliable

Food Production Operatives to join a growing food manufacturing site supplying major retailers. You'll be working in an

ambient‑temperature production area, carrying out a mix of packing, line work, and general production duties. The role offers

consistent daytime hours, long‑term stability, and a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Working on a busy production line handling food products
• Packing, sorting and labelling items to required standards
• Carrying out simple quality and visual checks
• Assisting with loading and unloading materials
• Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times
• Performing light to moderate lifting during the shift

This is a food production setting and there is a

noticeable smell similar to a butcher's environment, along with

stronger aromas of spices and seasoning due to the food being prepared on site. This is normal for the role and applicants should be comfortable working in this type of environment.
