Job summary

Thurrock and Brentwood Mind is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Liaison support worker based at Basildon University Hospital (Mid and South Essex) to assist patients in emergency and urgent care settings.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week on a fixed-term contract to 31 August 2028, with a salary of £28,157 per annum plus OLF and shift allowances, contributing to compassionate, person-centred care and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

This role is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Mental Health Liaison Nurse based in Basildon University Hospital Emergency Department/Mental Health Urgent Care Department (MHUCD), to provide practical and emotional support to patients to better manage their mental health and wellbeing in the community.

Do you have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and able to skilfully utilise lived experience for the benefit of others, inspiring hope, belief and recovery?
