Thurrock and Brentwood Mind is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Liaison support worker based at Basildon University Hospital (Mid and South Essex) to assist patients in emergency and urgent care settings.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week on a fixed-term contract to 31 August 2028, with a salary of £28,157 per annum plus OLF and shift allowances, contributing to compassionate, person-centred care and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to patients to better manage their mental health.
• Engage with patients in urgent and emergency care pathways using a person-centred, strength-based approach.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support individuals with lived experience.
