Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Quality Advisor to join the Energy Team on the National Grid HWUP Project. The role focuses on upholding quality standards, supporting site teams, and driving continuous improvement across QA processes.

Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, promoting nonconformity reporting, and developing Quality Plans and campaigns in collaboration with the Quality function. Candidates with CQI membership and prior quality experience are highly valued.

  • CQI membership desirable.
  • Ability to promote best practice and drive quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the Quality – Right First Time initiative.
  • Establish and promote best practice with the Quality function.
  • Support site management to ensure compliance with Quality Plans.
  • Carry out inspections/audits to verify policy and procedure adherence.
  • Promote reporting of nonconformances and close-out actions.
  • Collate and review Quality statistics for reporting.
  • Identify trends and improvement opportunities in Quality data.
  • Develop and implement Quality campaigns with the Quality Management team.
  • Support project teams in developing Quality Plans and documentation.

Murphy is recruiting for a Quality Advisor to work with the Energy Team on National Grid, HWUP Project.

A day in the life of a Murphy Quality Advisor:


  • Be a champion for the “Quality – Right First Time” initiative.

  • Establish and promote best practice in quality matters in conjunction with the Quality function.

  • Support site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Quality Plans.

  • Carry out regular inspections/audits of sites and work places to find whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.

  • Promote the reporting of nonconformances and provide advice on closing out actions.

  • Collate and review Business / Contract Quality statistics in a timely manner and submit to the Quality Management and Quality function for reporting purposes.

  • Review Quality statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement Quality campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Quality Management.

  • Provide support to Project teams in the development of Quality Plans.

  • Produce Quality plans, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance.

  • Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements
