Bluebolt Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Chemist to move from the lab into a commercial technical sales role within the UK cosmetic market. The position offers comprehensive training, with an eventual shift to hybrid working after an initial training period.

The role is based at the Aylesbury head office and will involve frequent travel across the UK and overseas. You will gain extensive product knowledge and build relationships with customer R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

• No prior sales experience required; full training provided.
• Office-based role during training (5 days a week) with potential for hybrid home/office working in the future.
• Based at the Aylesbury head office with frequent UK and overseas travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong technical understanding of Personal Care ingredients, their chemistry, benefits and formulation characteristics.
• Understand the needs of customers and communicate technical information clearly.
• Support customers throughout development from concept to product launch.
• Visit UK customers to build long-term relationships with R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.
• Maintain existing business and create new opportunities within the customer portfolio.
• Help Technical Development Chemists to create beneficial Personal Care formulations.
• Identify new business opportunities for the company.
• Attend industry meetings and seminars to increase knowledge of Personal Care.

Graduate Chemist seeking role in Technical Sales

Are you a graduate chemist/scientist seeking a move out of the lab and into a commercial sales role ?

Our client is a supplier of chemicals to UK cosmetic market and they are seeking someone to train up into a sales role. No previous sales experience is required as full training will be provided. The company can offer a competitive salary + company car. Whilst in training the position will be office based 5 days a week but in the future there is the option of hybrid home/office working.

This role will be based in the Aylesbury head office with frequent travel in the UK and overseas. There is great scope for creativity and personal development within this role, and you will be supported by extensive training on our products, a fully equipped laboratory, enthusiastic and supportive colleagues, and outside training where required.

This role includes responsibility for:

Developing strong technical understanding of Personal Care ingredients, their chemistry, benefits and formulation characteristics.

Understanding the needs of each of our customers.

Communicating scientific information clearly and concisely.

Supporting customers throughout their development process, from concept to product launch.

Visiting UK customers to develop long-term working relationships with their R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.

Maintaining existing business and creating new opportunities with customers in your portfolio

Helping Technical Development Chemists to create new Personal Care formulations that demonstrate the benefits of our products.

Identifying new business opportunities for the company.

Attending relevant Cosmetic and Toiletry industry meetings, seminars, exhibitions and symposia to increase knowledge of the Personal Care industry.
