Job summary

Trafford Leisure is seeking a Head of Health Outcomes to lead our health, wellbeing, inclusion and community impact agenda. The role sits on the Executive Team with potential for hours and scope growth as funding and partnerships expand, while delivering measurable improvements for Trafford residents.

The post initially part-time with hybrid working, focusing on reducing health inequalities and expanding our impact across the community through evidence-based programmes and external funding

Trafford Leisure has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Health Outcomes to join our Executive Team at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.

In Trafford, too many people are still not active enough to benefit their health.

We see the impact of health inequalities every day through inactivity, long-term health conditions, social isolation and barriers to participation experienced by many of our communities.

Through our ‘Theory of Change’, we focus on reaching those communities who experience the greatest barriers to being active, supporting long-term improvements in physical health, mental wellbeing, social connection and quality of life.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow Trafford Leisure’s health and wellbeing agenda. Whilst initially appointed on a part-time basis, there is potential for the role to grow in scope and hours over time as additional funding, partnerships and commissioned activity are secured.

The Role

This executive role will lead Trafford Leisure’s health, wellbeing, inclusion and community impact agenda, driving our strategic outcome of ‘Improving Health Outcomes for All’ and ensuring our ‘Theory of Change’ is translated into measurable impact for the Trafford community.

You will be a member of Trafford Leisure’s Executive Team, contributing to the strategic leadership, culture and performance of the wider organisation.

Working closely with our CEO, Board and partners, you will position Trafford Leisure as a key contributor within the wider health, wellbeing and community system.

A key element of the role will be securing external funding, grants, commissioned income and investment opportunities to expand Trafford Leisure’s impact across Trafford. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future growth of our health and wellbeing portfolio, with the potential for the role to evolve alongside this expansion.

You will oversee health services, intervention programmes and referral pathways, ensuring services are evidence-based, outcomes-focused and aligned to local priorities.

Key Responsibilities
