Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Team Manager for Trafford Talking Therapies. The role will involve day-to-day management, leadership of staff and deputising for the Operational Manager to support service development.

You will recruit, train and retain staff, work with HR on policies, chair team meetings and drive ongoing team development. The post requires Monday mornings and all day Friday, with at least one in-office day per week.

Team Manager - Talking Therapies | Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust

GMMH Talking Therapies Division is a large Talking Therapies reporting service for people experiencing common mental health disorders. We consist of Employment Advisors, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Counsellors and Psychologists.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and motivated individual to join our service as a Clinical Team Manager in our Trafford Talking Therapies service on a permanent basis.

The role will require you to assist with the day-to-day management and leadership Trafford Talking Therapies. You will provide line management supervision to staff within the service and deputise for/support the Operational Manager with other aspects of service development and delivery.

You will be involved in the recruitment, training and retention of staff. You will work closely with HR to support staff within the team and to implement HR policies where required.

You will chair Team Meetings and support the ongoing development of the team through identifying learning opportunities with the wider management team.

The successful applicant will join an established management team, where they will experience close support and will benefit from ongoing training and development.

You will be required to work a Monday morning and all day on a Friday. A minimum of one day in the office per week is also expected.
