Accrington and Rossendale College is seeking a Professional Construction Lecturer to deliver T Level Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction and to lead on the T-Level curriculum development. The role includes building an employer network for industry placements and overseeing curriculum planning for the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.

The post is primarily based at Accrington and Rossendale College, with occasional travel across sites.

Formación

• GCSEs including Maths and English (C/4 or above).
• Degree or higher in construction, architecture, surveying or similar.
• Industry experience and willingness to engage with schools and employers.
• Qualified teacher status preferred, trainee post considered with relevant background.
• Ability to teach in the evenings.

The Exciting Role

A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Professional Construction Lecturer. The role will support the further development and delivery of our higher technical qualifications and to take the lead on the introduction of T-Levels. You will oversee the development of the curriculum plan for the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction. You will develop an employer network to support the industry placements and employer set project for learners completing the T Level programme.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington and Rossendale College but will be required to travel across sites.

This role has a market premium payment attached of up to £3,000 per annum approved for three years in the first instance. This is for candidates who have the experience of delivering on the Construction T-Level qualification. However, we would also welcome applications from candidates who do not have this experience.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be delivering T Level Design, Surveying and Planning and Civil Engineering. We are in particular interested in attracting an individual with graduate knowledge and skills in CAD/Revit, Quantity Surveying and material science.

What We Are Looking For:

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
• A professional with a degree or higher in construction/architecture/surveying and design or similar
• Experience of working in the sector and willingness to complete outward facing engagement activities with schools and employers.
• A qualified teacher though we will consider an initial trainee post for this role too with a strong industry relevant background
• Flexibility to teach in the evenings
