Job summary

Pipaway Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced machinist to operate milling, turning and boring equipment, using precise measuring tools and established QA practices. The role requires reading drawings, CNC programming on Heidenhain and Mazatrol, and safe, efficient operation across various materials.

You will perform basic maintenance, ensure traceability via records, and select appropriate materials and tooling while following strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Read technical drawings and specs to execute machining and forming requirements.
• Familiar with programming CNC machines Heidenhain & Mazatrol systems.
• Familiar with DRO interfaces.
• Familiar with machining techniques.
• Use of appropriate cutting tools for material and machine type.
• Familiar with commonly used Quality Management processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling, turning and boring machines.
• Use accurate measuring tools and devices.
• Use measuring equipment and basic math to determine dimensions.
• Maintain basic record keeping for traceability.
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery.
• Understand material behaviour during machining.
• Select correct materials for operations.
• Adhere to safe working practices for each operation.
• Operate forklift truck as required.

• Basic record keeping, to allow traceability
• Basic maintenance machinery employed
• Knowledge of material behaviour during machining
• Correct materials selection
• Safe working practice knowledge for type of operation
• Forklift truck operations
