Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a children’s residential home in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. You will support children with life skills, daily routines and safeguarding, while documenting progress and liaising with families and professionals. The role is temporary-to-permanent with full-time hours and career progression opportunities.

Salary is £13.33 per hour PAYE or £17.27 Umbrella, with early/late shifts and weekend work. Drivers encouraged to apply.

Temporary to Permanent Full-Time Role

£13.33 per hour PAYE or £17.27 Umbrella

We are seeking passionate and dedicated

Support Workers to join a children's residential home in Abingdon on a temporary-to-permanent basis. If you're passionate about supporting children and young people and want to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

You will work directly with children and young people, supporting them with:

  • Creating a fun, safe and welcoming home environment
  • Daily records and online documentation
  • Communication with families and professionals
  • Safeguarding and medication
  • Meal preparation and general household tasks

Rota
  • 7:00am-2:30pm and 2:00pm-9:30pm
  • Ideally working an early/late weekly pattern
  • Every other weekend required, including split shifts
