Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking a Reactive School Cleaner at Abbey Park School in Swindon to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school day. The role focuses on timely reactive cleaning, general upkeep, and supporting lunch service set ups.

The ideal candidate will have cleaning experience or a willingness to learn, with a strong work ethic, good communication and the ability to work as part of a team. Hours are 9am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

• Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative.
• Good communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• To ensure reactive cleaning jobs are carried out in a timely manner (within school day).
• Assist the site team with lunch service set ups and set downs.
• Carry out cleaning tasks as per method statements and during break times.
• Support other cleaners during sickness or holiday cover.

Pinnacle Group are looking for a Reactive School Cleaner to ensure that the overall standard of cleaning is maintained to a good standard throughout the school during the school day. Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently – helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone. The ideal candidate will have previous cleaning experience or a willingness to learn, together with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness. The working hours are 9am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday at Abbey Park School in Swindon.

Key responsibilities

• To ensure reactive cleaning jobs are carried out in a timely manner
• Assist the site team in set ups and set downs for lunch service
• Carry out cleaning task as per method statement and around school break times
• Support other cleaners during sickness or holiday cover
• To take instruction and advice from the Cleaning Supervisor
• To ensure appropriate PPE/Uniform are always used during working hours

Key requirements

• Good knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals
• The ability to work as part of a team and be able to demonstrate initiative
• Some cleaning experience in a school environment would be preferred
• Good communication skills
