Job Title: Reactive Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical) - Grade 6

Salary: £40,497 per annum, pro-rata if part-time

Location: Leicester

Employment Type: Full-time or job share, permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for an M&E Technician to join our Estates Team. You will play a vital role in reactive maintenance and ensuring the compliance of building services engineering systems for the University of Leicester.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for completing reactive maintenance tasks through approved contractors. Using industry contractor management processes and procedures, you will ensure the delivery of works within agreed timescales, quality standards, and budget.

About you

The successful candidate will have a strong background in a building services engineering trade. You should possess good knowledge of health and safety regulations, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work to deadlines with a stakeholder-focused approach. Evidence of formal qualifications and a willingness to learn are essential.
