Job summary

Enva in Stourbridge is seeking a hands-on Reactive Maintenance Engineer for its refurbished eWaste site. The role focuses on SDA and SDA pre‑pick processing, keeping equipment safe, reliable and available with strong reactive maintenance, supported by planned preventive work and continuous improvement.

The position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift, involving noise, dust and moving machinery, with emphasis on safe isolation, efficient fault-finding and clear handovers across the shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent practical competence.
• Practical maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing/recycling environment.
• Fault-finding and repair of conveyors, bearings, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to respond calmly to breakdowns in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong safety and maintenance record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive, safe reactive maintenance across the 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
• Maintain, fault-find and repair SDA and SDA pre-pick processing equipment.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and electrical fault-finding within competence.
• Overhaul and improve existing machinery for reliability and safety.
• Carry out welding, fabrication and general engineering repairs as required.
• Support commissioning, snagging and optimisation of equipment.
• Identify recurring faults and propose corrective actions.
