Job summary

Booker Didcot is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Driver to join a busy warehouse team. The role requires accuracy, reliability and strong health and safety awareness in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment.

You will operate reach trucks, stock replenishment, and support general warehouse tasks across shifts with early/late hours; night shifts also available. Training is provided with progression opportunities within the Booker Retail Partners network.

Qualifications

• Reach truck experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Good literacy and numeracy for stock processing.

Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently in the warehouse.
• Put stock away into racking locations and replenish pick faces.
• Ensure goods are handled to prevent damage.
• Support general warehouse duties as required.
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and site policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.

About the role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Reach Truck Driver to join our busy warehouse operation. This is a hands on role within a fast paced environment, requiring accuracy, reliability, and strong health and safety awareness.

As a member of our warehouse team you will undertake challenging and rewarding work and play a pivotal role in ensuring we fulfil our customers' needs.

OurBooker Retail Partnerssitein Didcot is a 245,000 sq ft, modern, multi-temperature food service site.

There is also great scope for training, development and progression within the company.

Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days per week between Sunday and Friday with shift hours of 06:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs (the early day shift) one week and 14:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs (the late day shift) the next week.
Limited positions are also available on the night shift with hours of 22:00 hrs to 06:00 hrs.

You will be responsible for

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a reach truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse
• Putting stock away into racking locations and replenishing pick faces
• Ensuring all goods are handled correctly to prevent damage
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required
• Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and site policies
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area

The picking, packing and loading of our customer food orders for delivery,

Processing goods in effectively and efficiently

Performing stock checks as and when necessary

Replenishing the DC with goods in stock

Performing the necessary hygiene checks

A basic understanding of Health and Safety is essential, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.

The following are desirable, however, full training is provided regardless of prior experience:
