Norfolk County Council is seeking Support Workers (Reablement) to assist individuals in regaining confidence and independence after health challenges. This role offers flexible working hours, comprehensive training, and a competitive salary, while providing essential support to the community.
Permanent contract | £19,188 to £20,451 per annum (Scale E) | 27.75 hours per week | Office base – Elizabeth House, Dereham. Working in Poringland areas, Wymondham and Watton
Working pattern over two weeks including weekends and bank holidays.

Here at Norfolk First Response, we work with a reablement ethos, supporting people in their homes to make a positive difference. Our goal is to help them regain their previous abilities within 6 weeks following a period of ill health or change in circumstances. Our Support Workers (Reablement) are a key part of this effort.

The vacant post is for 27.75 hours per week, working in the Poringland, Wymondham, and Watton areas. You will work a range of mornings (7.30am to 1.30pm) and evenings (4pm to 8.30pm), with hours averaged over a two-week rota, allowing you to plan ahead for a healthy work-life balance.
You need to be caring, empathetic, and committed to making a difference. You should be able to easily commute to people’s homes in North Norfolk, so a full driving license and access to a vehicle are required. No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
