Job summary

William Perkin CE High School, part of Twyford Church of England Academies Trust, is seeking a committed RE Teacher on maternity cover for April 2027. The school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and SIAMS, with a strong track record in GCSE progress.

You will join an ambitious RE department focused on delivering an outstanding three-tiered curriculum for all National Curriculum levels, and you will be supported by an experienced Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• A good degree and QTS.
• Ability to teach RE to at least KS4.
• Proven record of outstanding results.
• Experience of curriculum development & subject leadership.
• Experience of quality assurance and of leading and managing a team.
• Outstanding skills as a classroom teacher and as a tutor.
• Excellent record of developmental work in current role.
• Experience of managing or implementing curriculum systems and initiatives.
• Ability to be reflective and driven towards self-improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver RE curriculum up to GCSE/KS4 and support GCSE preparation.
• Collaborate with the RE department to deliver an outstanding curriculum.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and leadership within the team.
• Support students through assessments and tutoring where needed.
