Job summary

Glebedale School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a Re-integration Teacher to support KS3/KS4 pupils through tailored reintegration plans and dedicated mentoring.

The role emphasises building confidence, managing complex needs and collaborating with families and clinicians to ensure smooth transitions back to mainstream learning. UK applicants only; permanent term-time role with October 2026 start.

Qualifications

  • QTS/ QTLS or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum two years' experience with SEMH and/or SEND.
  • Experience partnering with families.
  • Driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching and mentoring to pupils with SEMH and SEND needs.
  • Develop bespoke reintegration plans that reflect each pupil's strengths, barriers and aspirations.
  • Build trusted relationships with pupils and families, helping young people regain confidence in education.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, clinicians and school leaders to ensure smooth transitions into the main provision.
  • Champion pupil voice, ensuring every young person's views shape their support and learning journey.
  • Create engaging, nurturing learning environments that inspire achievement and positive behaviour.
  • Use assessment data to monitor progress, celebrate success and implement targeted interventions where needed.
  • Promote excellent attendance, resilience, independence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Job Title: Re-integration Teacher
Location: Glebedale School, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3AY
Hours: 37.5 per week Monday - Friday
Salary: £39,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

About the Role

We're looking for a compassionate, resilient and inspirational Reintegration Teacher to play a vital role in helping pupils reconnect with education and achieve their potential.

This is a unique opportunity to work with pupils in our Bridge Provision, providing tailored support to KS3 and KS4 learners who require an individualised pathway before successfully transitioning back into mainstream school life.

Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, Clinical Team, families and external professionals, you'll develop personalised reintegration plans that build confidence, improve engagement and support lasting success.

Who we are looking for

  • QTS/ QTLS or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of two years' experience working with pupils with SEMH and/or SEND.
  • Experience supporting pupils and working in partnership with families.
  • A passion for inclusive education and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and mentoring skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, adaptable and solution-focused in challenging situations.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Driving licence required

Glebedale School is a special needs school which provides provision for ages 7 years and upwards. We provide a nurturing and welcoming environment to SEMH pupils, and our curriculum has a keen focus on therapy, education and personal development. Our school aims to help pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally to enable them to become capable future citizens.

We provide education to 40 pupils from the Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire areas. At our last Ofsted in July 2025, we were rated "Good".
