Job summary

HIJOBS is seeking a Raw Material Technologist to manage site raw materials and suppliers from development to finished product, including specifications, risk assessments, approvals and validations. The role involves monitoring activities and supporting quality, safety and legality across materials and packaging.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Science, strong knowledge of GMPs, BRCGS and HACCP, and proven data-analysis skills using Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or a related field.
• Familiar with food safety regulations and standards related to raw materials and packaging.
• Experience in FMCG food manufacturing with knowledge of GMPs, BRCGS and HACCP.
• Strong communication and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to analyse complex data and make data-driven decisions with Excel/Power BI.
• High typing speed with excellent attention to detail.
• Flexible and proactive with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Assess incoming raw materials for quality and compliance.
• Assist with risk assessments and lab sampling of materials.
• Maintain and update site raw material and packaging documentation.
• Audit storage and handling procedures for safety.
• Support external audits and supplier visits with clear records.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with NPD, Procurement, Logistics and Technical teams.
