MCS Group is proud to partner with a global organization known for its innovative work to recruit a Material Planner.

This is a 12-month contract role within the supply chain team, focusing on raw material planning, supplier management, and supporting a broader business project.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the business transformation project with specific supply chain planning tasks.
• Ensure materials are ordered and scheduled for delivery from suppliers in the required quantities and delivery dates.
• Ensure deliveries occur on the correct date, in the correct containers, and in the correct quantities.
• Validate supplier schedules to meet facility demands.
• Address delivery and invoice discrepancies, following through to resolution.
• Coordinate activities to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Manage scheduling and control of onward shipped materials.
• Complete tasks related to systems, data, reporting, and ad hoc reviews.
• Manage returnable containers and materials.
• Set up and maintain SAP S/4HANA system master data for suppliers.
• Provide weekly KPI reports.
• Coordinate with engineering teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in material planning or supply chain roles.
• Supplier management experience.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
