Job summary

Syensqo is seeking a Raw Materials / Finished Goods Planner (gn) to own the short- and mid-term planning and coordination of production, demand, and inventory for designated materials and machines. You will optimize schedules to maximize utilization, while considering capacity and material constraints.

You will monitor stock levels, manage MRP messages, and coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of planning experience in a supply chain context.
  • Background in supply chain, a degree in Supply Chain Management, or APICS certification.
  • Experience with SAP in a planning or purchasing role is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Proactive, independent, and able to understand manufacturing interdependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Own short- and mid-term planning and coordination of production, demand, and inventory for designated machines and materials.
  • Develop, optimize, and communicate production schedules to maximize utilization considering capacity and material availability.
  • Monitor material availability, conduct stock analysis, and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Process MRP messages, coordinate purchase orders and priorities with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Production, and Procurement and participate in site planning (S&OP).
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Support qualification of new materials and suppliers and escalate issues to global procurement.

We are looking for:

A Raw Materials / Finished Goods Planner (gn).

Key responsibilities:
  • Own the short- and mid-term planning and coordination of production, demand, and inventory schedules for designated machines and materials (including raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods)
  • Develop, optimize, and communicate production schedules to maximize machine and material utilization, considering capacity, material availability, and business requirements
  • Monitor and manage material availability, including inventory control, analysis of stock levels, and implementation of actions to prevent shortages or excess inventory
  • Process MRP messages, coordinate purchase orders and priorities, and communicate material needs to both internal and external suppliers
  • Serve as a key liaison, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (such as Sales, Logistics, Production, and Procurement) and participating in site-wide planning processes (e.g., S&OP)
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives to optimize costs, processes, and product quality, including risk analysis and development of recommendations
  • Support the qualification of new raw materials and suppliers, assist in resolving supplier issues, and escalation concerns to the global procurement team as needed
You will bring:
  • Ideally, 2+ years of experience in planning, along with a background in supply chain, a degree in Supply Chain Management, or APICS certification
  • Experience with SAP in a planning or purchasing role is a strong advantage
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to quickly absorb information and make sound decisions under pressure
  • A consistent, proactive approach, high energy, and the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • The capability to understand Syensqo’s manufacturing processes and their interdependencies
You will get:
  • The annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: £40,000 - £50,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification, and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
