Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Ration Accountant in the United Kingdom. This part-time role runs 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00–14:00, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. The role focuses on accurate food accounting, stock control and routine financial record-keeping for a site.

You will manage records, process debits/credits, and ensure procedures comply with Sodexo policies while supporting team operations.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy skills and the ability to work accurately with figures.
• Experience in an accounts or finance role is desirable.
• Experience with Pay as You Dine systems within a military environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery notes and invoices, record food account transactions, and process all debits, credits and stock transfers accurately.
• Prepare food income and expenditure accounts, consolidate receipts and issues, and complete weekly reconciliations.
• Check invoices against statements, balance manual or computerised accounts, and prepare accounts for period-end closure.
• Maintain accurate records and file all documents securely for audits, following company policies and retention requirements.
• Ensure food supplies are received, stored, issued and delivered in line with legislation and company procedures, while developing skills and knowledge within the role.
