Job summary

Moody’s is offering a 10-week summer internship designed to develop skills valuable for a career in financial services. The program provides mentorship, exposure to Moody’s ratings and research, and meaningful project work assigned by team managers within the Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign rating groups.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting or statistics background with macroeconomic principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to programming, data analysis or visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, KNIME, Alteryx, Python, SQL or similar platforms, a plus.
• Relevant coursework, academic projects, prior internship, or other hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support analytical teams on projects and day-to-day work.
• Examples may include: participate in case studies to build analytical understanding.
• Work on analytical, research, data, and process-related projects.
• Collect data and identify trends to support well-thought-out credit conclusions.
• Prepare financial documents, charts, and presentations.
• Monitor media outlets for news related to special projects or portfolios.
• Provide analytical and research support to the rating team.
• Contribute to the creation of high-quality research publications.
