Job summary

Helsing seeks a Rapid Prototyping Engineer to translate complex concepts into flight-ready prototypes for our advanced drone platforms. You will own the full build cycle from concept to field testing, coordinating with design and test teams to ensure rapid iteration and robust hardware.

You will prototype, integrate avionics, power systems, and flight controllers (PX4/ArduPilot) while pushing for safety, reliability, and performance in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with unmanned aerial systems through full concept-to-field-testing cycle.
• Hands-on fabrication and workshop skills for quick hardware iterations.
• Ability to design, validate and troubleshoot UAV hardware and flight systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, assemble flight-ready prototypes for Helsing's drone platforms.
• Modify airframes and build electrical harnesses for rapid iteration.
• Integrate flight control platforms and calibrate sensors during testing.
• Plan field test campaigns and analyze telemetry to refine CAD models.
• Collaborate with design/test teams to surface integration risks early.
