RAP ABAP Developer for S/4HANA Transformation

Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a permanent SAP ABAP (RAP) Developer to transform legacy ABAP programs into a modern S/4HANA architecture. You will design and implement CDS and AMDP, develop Adobe forms for online and offline scenarios, and collaborate with business users for day-to-day operations and support.

The role requires strong ABAP skills, RAP, SAP BTP, and SAP Fiori expertise.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in creating and extending RAP BOs with both Managed and Unmanaged scenarios
• Experience in creating at least 2-level drill-down custom applications with at least one parent-child relationship
• Experience in API calling and handling deep structures in API calls
• Strong hands-on development experience in OOPS ABAP
• Strong knowledge and working experience with New ABAP syntaxes, Adobe forms, AMDP, CDS, ALV, BADI, and BAPI
• Experience with enhancements including BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Spots
• Good understanding of SAP clean core architecture and approach
• Sound knowledge of performance optimization and SAP best practices in ABAP
• Experience or knowledge in Professional Services development
• SAP Build knowledge
• Development experience with SAP BTP
• Work experience in S/4HANA Public Cloud
• Draft scenario handling experience

Responsibilities

• Transform traditional ABAP programs in legacy SAP systems into S/4HANA architecture
• Design and implement CDS and AMDP based on business requirements
• Develop Adobe forms in S/4HANA for online and offline scenarios
• Compile technical specification documents for all developments
• Perform end-to-end unit testing of all applications
• Work with business users in day-to-day operations support
• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP Fiori-ready applications and OData services using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
