We are currently recruiting Ramp Operatives, to work at our Stansted base on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working as part of the Ramp team, the Ramp Operative is responsible for providing ramp services to Harrods Aviation's discerning customers and will be required to provide all aspects of ground handling services.
This will include all aspects of airside driving, including the tug for aircraft manoeuvring. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for baggage handling, providing toilet and water servicing, de-icing during the winter months, and general assistance within the wider Operations department.
They are required to be quick thinking and very adaptable, as the nature of our business often dictates unique requirements.
The role is often demanding, requiring our staff to be organised and able to co-ordinate and communicate with all other departments.
They have to be multi-skilled, often have to undertake several tasks at once, whilst ensuring that they maintain a professional attitude at all times.

Due to the varied working hours of this role, public transport may not always be an option and therefore it is essential that candidates hold a full driving licence and have access to their own transport.
The Operations Department operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days a year. Ramp Operatives You will be required to work as part of a team covering a 24-hour operation, which will include working earlies, days, lates, nights, weekends and bank holidays. The average working week is 40 hours.
Previous ramp handling experience, including pushbacks and towing, is a necessity, gained in either a commercial or private aviation setting.
The role is demanding and the successful candidate should be flexible, able to work under pressure and have the ability to prioritise whilst remaining calm.
Applicants should also have an enthusiastic, willing personality with a sense of humour and the ability to work on their own initiative. Good communication skills combined with courtesy and integrity are essential.
Good computer skills and administration skills (Microsoft packages, general working knowledge of systems) are an essential requirement.
You must hold a full UK driving license and have access to your own transport, to enable you to commute to our location out of hours when public transport is not available. You must also have a five year checkable employment / education history.
You must hold the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
