Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to help flights run on time by recording cargo, moving baggage and guiding aircraft to gates. The role requires physical fitness and outdoor work in varying conditions, with shifts including nights and weekends.

Applicants should be at least 18, possess a high school diploma or GED (or ramp experience), pass pre-employment tests including a drug test, and have a valid UK driver’s license. Prior ramp experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months ramp experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no violations in past 5 years.
• Must be available for variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is outdoors; must be comfortable in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
• Prior ramp experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lift/move 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on/off aircraft and between aircraft and facilities.
• Frequent bending, stretching, pushing/pulling in confined locations.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read and interpret loading/wt, labels and routing tags.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
