Job summary

Network Rail in Tottenham is seeking a Planning Assistant to support Delivery Unit Planning activities, coordinating resources and maintaining efficient operations to enable safe maintenance delivery across the route. You will input and update planning records, assist in producing the Period Possession Plan and resource schedules, and liaise with internal and external contacts to handle planning requests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of access planning processes and systems.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of operational railway environment.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Delivery Unit Planning team as directed.
• Assist in producing the Delivery Unit Period Possession Plan and resource schedules.
• Submit and process Access and Resource Planning requests in line with processes.
• Input, update and maintain planning systems and records.
• Assist in coordinating and optimising resources for efficient maintenance delivery.
• Support plan changes and emergency works.
• Liaise with internal and external contacts regarding planning requests.
• Assist in preparing reports as required.
