Rullion is recruiting Warranty Support Technicians for a long-term contract at the new Taff's Well rail depot in Cardiff. You will work on the Class 398 Citylink tram-train fleet, delivering electrical and mechanical fault-finding, warranty repairs and functional testing as part of the introduction to service.

The role requires an electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (ideally NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC).

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering apprenticeship/qualification.
• Ideal to NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent.
• Experience in rolling stock maintenance, warranty or fleet modification.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
• Experience documenting maintenance records and technical reports.

Responsabilités

• Carry out electrical and/or mechanical warranty repairs on Class 398 vehicles.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes across train systems.
• Complete hardware modifications and modification campaigns across the fleet.
• Undertake functional testing and sign-off after repairs and modifications.
• Record completed work and findings in the asset management system.
• Produce clear technical reports covering defects, repairs and investigations.
• Support warranty claims and post-incident investigations as required.
• Liaise with commissioning, production, engineering and depot teams.
