DB Cargo UK is recruiting for a Rail Wagon Maintainer (Engineer) to join our Doncaster depot. You will work with the Production Manager and team to maintain, repair and overhaul Traction & Rolling Stock (T&RS) and components, ensuring safety and timely delivery.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 and hands-on engineering experience, with rail sector knowledge advantageous. We offer 31 days holiday, a 4-week pay cycle, Enhanced pension, and access to our benefits portal.

Competenze

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum.
• Hands-on engineering experience demonstrated in application.
• Rail sector experience would be advantageous.

Mansioni

• Ensure Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and others is not adversely affected by actions.
• Take action to remove hazards encountered.
• Assist with breakdown/recovery operations and other T&RS incidents.
• Fault diagnosis and rectification on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Work to Maintenance Plans (VMOI).
• Generate reports for ongoing work/Condition Reports/Production Reports.
• Report defective items and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Participate in accident investigations and contribute to Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
• Assist with on-the-job training of team members and contractors.
• Help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Undertake training such as Designated Person (depo) or COSHH Custodian as required.
• Operate the fuel point and use IT systems dedicated to this role.
• Order materials and operate powered devices (as trained).
