Job summary

First Rail London is seeking an experienced train planning professional to deliver long and short term timetable, unit diagramming and traincrew diagrams in line with the concession workload. You will drive planning projects and validate plans to meet SLC, TPR and Network Code requirements.

The role requires a degree, excellent IT skills, and a proven track record in redesigning business processes to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent IT literacy.
• Experience of achieving deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Track record of building effective working relationships with peers, internal customers and suppliers.
• Ability to undertake project work and report on findings.
• Proven success in redesigning business processes to implement faster and smarter ways of working.
• Knowledge of the London Overground routes and train service plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the STP and LTP timetable, rolling stock and train crew diagrams.
• Liaise with Network Rail and other operators for timetable bids in line with Network Code requirements.
• Validate train plans for compliance with SLCs and TPR.
• Undertake validation of offers for LTP and STP and manage downstream timetable information in time.
