Job summary

MOTT MACDONALD is seeking an experienced Telecoms Engineer to provide engineering leadership on Network Rail projects. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in telecom engineering and strong knowledge of SCADA systems.

This role emphasizes managing design documentation, leading teams across various telecoms systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, contributing to successful project lifecycle delivery.

Qualifications

• Over 12 years of working experience in telecoms engineering.
• Experience with operational telecoms and SCADA systems.
• Proven experience as a Network Rail CRE.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams on telecoms systems including CCTV and GSM-R.
• Manage design documentation, RFIs, and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with standards and manage design integration.

Skills

Chartered Engineer

Telecoms CRE

Ability to communicate effectively

Extensive working knowledge of the UK Rail Industry

Excellent report writing skills

Education

HND or equivalent in Engineering

CEng + IET/CIBSE membership
