Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking Rail Systems professionals to contribute to landmark rail programmes. You will work across HS2, TRU, and other major projects, delivering integrated rail systems solutions with multidisciplinary teams.

We welcome all career stages and provide opportunities to develop in signalling, telecoms, E&P, traction power, and systems assurance. BPSS clearance may be required on some projects; chartership is encouraged but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience within rail systems engineering or a related rail discipline.
• Knowledge of rail systems areas such as signalling, telecoms, E&P, traction power, SCADA, control systems, systems integration, systems assurance or systems engineering.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle delivery within complex infrastructure programmes.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
• Ability to analyse technical challenges and contribute to practical, effective solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to collaboration, safety and continuous learning.
• Professional qualifications, chartership or progress towards professional registration are welcome but not essential.
• A passion for delivering infrastructure that creates lasting benefits for passengers, communities and future generations.
• BPSS clearance may be required for some projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the successful delivery of rail systems design, integration, assurance and engineering activities across major rail programmes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders to develop and deliver integrated rail systems solutions.
• Support the development, coordination and verification of system engineering requirements throughout project lifecycles.
• Apply systems thinking to solve complex technical and operational challenges.
• Contribute to safety, reliability, performance and operational readiness objectives.
• Participate in systems integration, interface management and assurance activities.
• Support the development of innovative, sustainable and efficient engineering solutions.
• Share technical knowledge and contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and project partners while supporting successful project outcomes.
• Help deliver infrastructure that improves connectivity, enhances passenger experience and creates long-term value for communities.
