Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead railway station upgrade schemes in the North West, delivering projects from mobilisation through to completion.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensure safety, quality and performance against programme and budget, and coordinate with Network Rail, clients and stakeholders.

This role offers a competitive package and clear progression within a leading rail contractor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Agent in rail projects
• Proven track record delivering railway station upgrades
• Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards
• Experience managing live railway environments
• Ability to manage programmes, budgets and subcontractors
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on railway upgrade projects
• Deliver works safely, on programme and within budget
• Lead site teams including Engineers, Foremen, Supervisors and subcontractors
• Develop construction programmes and short-term work plans
• Coordinate interfaces with stakeholders and ensure compliance with standards
• Produce RAMS, ITPs and construction documentation
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained
• Manage project costs and subcontractor performance
• Liaise with Network Rail and other stakeholders
