Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the UK offers a 12-month placement to gain hands-on rail technology experience and work on real signalling projects. You’ll be immersed in projects, gain industry experience, and build business skills while developing relationships across the business.

Structured development activities and mentoring support are provided to help you grow. Applicants should be on track for a 2:2 or above in an Engineering or Technology degree and show initiative.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a Engineering or Technology related degree.
• Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas.
• Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Put university learning into practice by supporting the development and delivery of innovative rail technology solutions on real signalling projects.
• Collaborate with a range of teams and stakeholders, gaining insight into how technology solutions are developed, tested and improved.
• Build digital and problem-solving skills by contributing to technology-led solutions shaping the rail industry's future.
• Gain hands-on experience of systems engineering, learning how processes help manage risk and support project delivery.
