Job summary

Randstad Cpe London is recruiting a skilled Functional Tester (Rail Signalling) to join the Signalling Testing & Commissioning team. This UK-wide, site-based, permanent role offers flexible working options and a competitive benefits package.

You will perform functional testing of signalling systems, including interlockings, test 4-foot trackside equipment, and support planning, reporting and staff development. A UK driving licence and willingness to undertake COSS duties are required.

Qualifications

• IRSE Licence current or within last 5 years.
• CofC current or last 5 years.
• 3BI Competence essential.
• Experience in railway signalling functional testing.
• Knowledge of Network Rail Signal Works Testing Handbook and NWR standards.
• Willing to undertake COSS duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out functional testing of signalling systems, including interlockings.
• Test 4-foot trackside equipment for compliance and performance.
• Assist Tester in Charge with planning, resourcing, reporting.
• Mentor junior team members to support progression.
• Ensure testing activities meet industry and safety standards.
• Travel to project sites; overnight stays and unsocial hours may be required.
