Job summary

Core Group is seeking a Shaft Mechanical Construction Manager in North West London to lead mechanical installation activities for a major rail project. You will coordinate shaft works, manage subcontractors, and ensure delivery against programme, quality, and safety requirements.

We require proven rail industry experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work within a complex construction environment with multiple trades and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager or similar.
• Rail experience is essential.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating with multiple trades and disciplines.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate mechanical construction activities across shaft areas and associated project works.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of mechanical installations on site.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, supervisors, engineers and site operatives.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, structural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.
• Monitor progress and resolve technical or delivery issues.
