Job summary

SE Trains Ltd is seeking a Service Engineer Level 3 for our Ashford Depot. You will perform primary defect repair on in-service units, troubleshoot faults, diagnose issues, and ensure work aligns with safety and production standards.

You should have an engineering background (Electrical), NVQ3 or equivalent, and a BTEC certificate, with IT skills and a valid driver's licence. A DL and medical fitness are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in engineering maintenance, electrical, mechanical or equivalent.
• Technical Certificate in Engineering BTEC.
• Intermediate IT skills and able to interpret data.
• First level fault finding and following schematics/diagrams.
• Physically fit and able to pass a medical.
• Prev. rolling stock maintenance experience desirable.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Primary defect repair including in-service units and defect troubleshooting.
• Defect diagnosis, scope adherence and rectification.
• In-service defect repair and liaising with external stakeholders on re-railing.
• Ensure work meets production and operational deadlines.
