Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Section Engineer for a prestigious rail project in the North East of England. The role will involve supervising and mentoring junior engineers, monitoring delivery against the programme, and ensuring works are set out accurately before commencement.

The successful candidate will have a civil engineering degree, proven experience with tier 1 contractors on large infrastructure projects, and rail environment exposure. PTS/CSCS is required.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience with a tier 1 on a large infrastructure project.
• PTS/CSCS qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and mentoring assistant and trainee engineers.
• Monitoring and recording delivery against the programme and construction methods.
• Ensuring works are accurately set out before work commences and recorded in diaries.
• Assist in preparing look-ahead programmes coordinated with the site programme.
• Identify, record and report changes to scope or programme.
• Ensure testing/sampling of materials as per specification.
