Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd is urgently seeking a Section Engineer to support the TfGM Access for All Scheme at Hindley Station, Manchester.

You will own designated work packages, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, undertake setting-out, quality assurance and maintain ITPs, ensuring health and safety on a rail infrastructure project. This six to eight month contract is inside IR35 with a day rate around £400 PAYE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Section Engineer on rail, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Strong setting-out skills and engineering assurance experience.
• Experience coordinating and managing subcontractors.
• Good understanding of quality processes, ITPs and engineering records.
• Awareness of temporary works requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage designated civil engineering work packages from construction through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and day-to-day construction activities.
• Undertake engineering control, setting out and quality assurance.
• Compile and review site documentation, including supply chain documentation.
• Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspections, quality records and handback documentation.
• Support programme delivery, short-term planning and progress monitoring.
• Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
