Job description

Job Description: Rail Replacement Coordinator

Closing date: 21st January 2025. Interviews will be held as needed. Successful candidates must adhere to a strict zero-tolerance policy on alcohol and drugs.

This core role involves working as a Rail Replacement Coordinator across the UK network during disruptions and pre-planned work. Some requirements to assist the special events team are also involved.

We expect you to be customer-focused to provide a fantastic experience for travelers. Even during disruptions, you will ensure customers are kept informed.

You will be trained in all aspects of the role, including managing different situations during disruptions, ensuring buses and trains run on time, making announcements, performing safety duties, and assisting with customer service. Training will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure our services run smoothly and safely.

About you

This is a part-time role with flexible hours; there is no guarantee of minimum hours.

You should be flexible in working location and willing to travel (travel costs covered). Our services operate seven days a week, covering early mornings to late nights. Flexibility at short notice is required due to operational needs.

We seek candidates capable of building rapport with a diverse range of people, with qualities such as:

Training will be provided on specific role requirements. An understanding of bus and train timetables and drivers' hours regulations would be advantageous.
