Job Description

We are searching for a Civils Design Regional Lead to join AECOM, working collaboratively on transportation projects in London and South East. You will lead client engagement, team development, and technical excellence, interfacing with regional teams and global design centers.

Key external stakeholders include Network Rail, TfL, and contractors. The region has approximately 100 FTE working on heavy and light rail projects, both renewals and enhancements.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the Civils Rail Design growth strategy and delivery in the region.
2. Promote inclusiveness and build strong client and partner relationships.
3. Own discipline performance, ensuring compliance and governance.
4. Engage with other AECOM business units to support growth.
5. Lead safety culture within the team.
6. Ensure project resourcing and high-quality delivery.
7. Develop and manage the LSE Rail Civils team, including early careers recruitment.
8. Build and maintain key client and supply chain relationships.
9. Lead bids and promote a success-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Civils Rail Design within the Rail sector.
• Proven team management skills.
• Strategic thinking and understanding of railway project design and delivery.
• Chartered engineer status.

Experience with Network Rail, London Underground, Railway Group Standards, British Standards, and Eurocodes is preferred.
