Job summary

Mane is seeking an experienced RAMS, PRAMS, reliability or systems engineer to support major rail and infrastructure projects in the UK.

You will provide RAMS engineering and assurance across the project lifecycle, working with engineering, project and safety teams to ensure requirements are met.

Responsibilities include developing RAMS plans and cases, performing reliability analyses (RAMS/MA), conducting FMEA/FMECA, reviewing supplier RAMS submissions and delivering technical reports.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in RAMS, PRAMS, Reliability, Systems Engineering or Engineering Assurance.
• Experience on major rail, transport, infrastructure or other safety-critical projects.
• Strong RAMS principles and lifecycle management.
• Experience with reliability and maintainability analysis.
• Experience with FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis and failure analysis.
• Experience developing and reviewing technical assurance documentation.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and requirements management.
• Experience with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex technical information and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop RAMS and PRAMS requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop RAMS plans, strategies, cases and supporting documentation.
• Undertake reliability, availability and maintainability analysis.
• Develop reliability predictions, failure analyses and models.
• Undertake FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis and other assessments.
• Identify and manage technical, reliability and safety risks.
• Support the development and management of system requirements and specifications.
• Ensure RAMS requirements are allocated to systems, subsystems, suppliers and assets.
• Review supplier and contractor RAMS submissions.
• Provide RAMS and systems assurance throughout design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Support verification and validation activities to demonstrate compliance.
• Develop and review safety and assurance cases where required.
• Monitor RAMS performance and identify trends and improvements.
• Provide input into design reviews, hazard workshops and risk assessments.
• Support non-conformances, defects and engineering changes.
• Review evidence to ensure contractual and technical compliance.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, designers and suppliers.
• Prepare technical reports, RAMS assessments and presentations.
• Support audits, assurance reviews and independent assessments.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and client requirements.
