Job summary

Rolls‑Royce Power Systems is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support MRO and switchboard build operations in Winsford. The role focuses on accurate picking, kitting, stock control and timely materials delivery to production areas.

You will work closely with mechanical and electrical fitters, technicians and stores personnel to ensure material availability, traceability and safe handling. A strong attention to detail and adherence to 5S/quality procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to follow picking lists, bills of materials and written instructions accurately.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Basic IT skills and the ability to use electronic stock-control systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with production personnel.
• Commitment to health, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of engineering materials and components.

Responsibilities

• Pick and kit components, parts, materials and consumables in accordance with authorised job orders, bills of materials and production requirements.
• Pick electrical and mechanical components required for switchboard assembly, repair and overhaul activities.
• Pick and prepare components required for rail power pack overhaul, repair and assembly.
• Ensure kits are complete, accurate and prepared in line with production schedules and required completion dates.
• Verify part numbers, descriptions, quantities and identification details against the relevant documentation.
• Identify and report missing, damaged, incorrect or unavailable components promptly.
• Prioritise picking activities in line with production requirements and agreed delivery schedules.
