Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to cross-train into rail engineering at Basingstoke. You will work on Mobile Maintenance Trains, performing planned maintenance, servicing and fault finding to keep trains safe and reliable.

No rail experience required; if you have strong mechanical skills and a positive attitude, you'll receive full rail training, rotate on day/night shifts, and benefit from a structured development programme and generous leave and pension schemes.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering experience or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding ability with hands-on diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and servicing on Mobile Maintenance Trains.
• Perform inspections and fault finding to keep trains safe and reliable.
• Support overnight operations and undertake repairs as required.
