Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Derby is seeking a diligent Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness in our rail maintenance facility, supporting engineering teams. You will help keep maintenance sheds, workshops, inspection pits and maintenance roads safe, clean, and functional.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6:00am–16:00pm and 12:00pm–22:00pm). Applicants should read basic English, be flexible, reliable and hardworking.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and read basic English.
• Flexible, open, honest and self-driven attitude.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the rail maintenance facility.
• Keep maintenance sheds, workshops, pits and roads safe and clean.
• Work within health and safety requirements and SLAs.
• Build positive relationships with customers and deliver good service.
