South Western Railway is seeking an Engineering Planning Clerk CO4 to support capacity studies and planning across its network in London and the South. You will coordinate with Network Rail and other operators, compile detailed studies, and ensure alignment with timelines and safety requirements.

You will gather requirements, identify unusual movements, and track studies from request through to delivery, ensuring proper integration into engineering specifications.

Formación

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of engineering access planning process, timetabling techniques, rolling stock diagramming and associated operational requirements, traincrew diagramming and the associated conditions of drivers and guards.
• Understand the nature of all subsections of train planning and how they interlink.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver capacity studies and coordinate with Network Rail, other TOCs and FOCs to agreed timescales.
• Compile capacity studies to the required detail per commercial specifications and Capacity Study Matrix, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery.
• Obtain key requirements from other operators and Network Rail.
• Identify and advise requirements for any unusual movements in capacity studies.
• Track capacity studies from request to delivery, sign-off and inclusion in Engineering Specification.
• Understand the Decision Criteria set out in Network Code Part D.
• Ensure the effective provision of rolling stock and train crew is considered in capacity studies.
