Job summary

Teamforce Labour Ltd in Northampton is seeking an experienced PTS Dumper / Roller Driver for a railway civils project. You will operate forward tipping dumpers and ride-on rollers to specification, transport materials, and assist with trackside works.

Daily plant inspections, safety compliance with Network Rail rules, and collaboration with supervisors and groundworkers are essential. Duration: 2 months. On-site work with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper and Ride-on Roller certification.
• Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety).
• Experience operating dumpers and rollers on railway or civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forward tipping dumpers and ride-on rollers on railway civils project.
• Transport materials, aggregates and spoil around site using a dumper.
• Carry out compaction works using a roller to required specifications.
• Assist with groundworks, drainage, trackside civils and site preparation.
• Conduct daily plant inspections and report defects or maintenance requirements.
• Work with site supervisors, engineers and groundworkers to ensure efficient site operations.
• Follow all site safety procedures and Network Rail regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Assist with general site duties when plant operation is not required.
