Octavius Infrastructure Limited is seeking a Design Manager to evolve its rail capability in the Southern Region. The role focuses on design management, stakeholder coordination and commercial control across the Access for All portfolio with hybrid work from home and Blackfriars office, plus site visits.

You will lead BIM adoption, drive Lean improvements and ensure compliance with Network Rail requirements and safety standards, mentoring juniors and coordinating with design partners and

Formación

• Engineering background with design management experience.
• Pricing & estimating knowledge is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good level of NEC3 knowledge, and ability to administer the contract.
• Exceptional people management with ability to influence and mentor.
• Technically savvy, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Managing projects or programmes and collaborating with other departments.
• Experience and knowledge of the construction industry and current techniques.
• Has managed design programmes delivering quality, design assurance, and meeting programme constraints.
• Knowledge of Network Rail PACE/GRIP processes and assurance procedures.
• Detailed understanding of safety leadership from a policy and behavioural perspective.
• Degree qualified in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• Aspiration or attainment of professional membership with a recognised body.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the management of designs and stakeholder coordination.
• Drive design programme development and commercial control.
• Promote BIM usage to improve efficiency and collaboration.
• Ensure designs meet Network Rail requirements, safety standards and programme constraints.
• Foster collaboration among customers, stakeholders, design partners and suppliers.
• Oversee transition from development to delivery with robust, cost-effective designs.
