Rail Depot Project Engineer - Mentorship toward Chartership

Job summary

CPR is seeking a Project Engineer to join the client-side team on a new state-of-the-art rail maintenance depot in London. You will support the Senior and Lead Project Engineers in managing engineering issues arising from the design and build of a complex, multi-disciplinary programme.

This role offers exposure to a major infrastructure programme with mentoring toward Chartered Engineer status and active support for developing engineering expertise within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience on depot-adjacent or rail civils projects.
• Ability to manage multiple disciplines and interface with design & build contractors.
• Familiarity with UK construction regulations including CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Support technical assurance of design and construction activity across the depot programme.
• Review contractor deliverables and evidence they meet required standards at each stage gate.
• Serve as a primary contact for technical queries from the Design and Build contractor.
• Discharge NEC3 Supervisor duties and Principal Designer responsibilities under CDM Regulations 2015.
