Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major railway infrastructure project. You will manage day-to-day rail civils delivery, coordinate site teams, ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, and maintain programme and budget targets.

The role requires reading drawings, strong planning, and leadership, with qualifications including PTS/CSCS/SMSTS. You will work closely with the Project Manager, designers, and stakeholders to deliver safely and efficiently on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager on railway projects.
• Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and programmes.
• NEC contracts knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of rail and civil works.
• Oversee site operations including drainage, earthworks, structures, ducting, and trackside works.
• Lead and coordinate site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits, and project procedures.
• Plan and manage labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to milestones.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, commercial team, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Maintain quality assurance and audits.
• Promote health, safety, environmental, and quality culture.
• Manage site documentation.
• Support commercial activities by identifying variations and reporting.
• Deliver toolbox talks and site coordination meetings.
